The REMCREAD project is dedicated to fostering the empowerment of refugee and migrant women by providing them with training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. This initiative is designed to support their journey towards sustainability and self-fulfillment. Through the innovative workshop phase of the project, participants will have the chance to conceive and develop projects across diverse sectors including food, fashion, and technology. Utilizing creative methodologies, these workshops will serve as a platform for these women to articulate their unique voices and display their abilities and talents, contributing to the rich tapestry of the European Union.
Together we will be working on the following results in the next 2 years:
1. Innovative and Creative Workshops - A series of creative workshops for migrant and refugee women that will take place in each of the partner country and that will, on one hand, inspire women to create their own products or art and on another hand, provide a safe space, where women would come together, share and connect, enhancing the feeling of belonging in the new country. At the end of the local workshops, an final publication will be available for consultation and inspiration for other adult educators and social workers working with migrant and refugee women in their countries.
2. Digital Literacy In-Training Service - A 5 modules training on various digital and creative skills meant to close the gap of knowledge of adult educators working with the target group, as well as giving them the opportunity to take the knowledge further to the women they are working with and teach them about Safety and Privacy online, Social Media platforms, as well as about photography/video with the smartphone and how to use editing programs for editing the photos/videos and creating new content for social media platforms.
3. Digital Exposition for Refugee and Migrant Women's Creative Work Output - As the name says, a final digital exhibition that would gather and showcase all the creative work created by the women during the local creative workshops in each partner country and personal stories from the participants.

Creative Circles for Migrant Women in Graz
Over a period of six months, we implemented seven creative workshops aimed at women with refugee or migration experience living in Graz. The goal was to bring women from all over the world together for a shared moment of creativity, exchange, and a sense of belonging in a new country and a new city.
Women from the community also volunteered as workshop leaders, which led to the development of unique workshop formats. For example, a participant from Pakistan led workshops on paper marbling and botanical painting. Additionally, a participant from India offered to lead a workshop on mindfulness and creative drawing.

Creative empowerment of migrant women • a practical toolkit for educators and organizations
The publication is a practical guide for institutions and individuals working in the field of adult education who are interested in implementing similar activities. It contains an analysis of the needs of women with migrant experience, based on focus studies carried out in five partner countries, as well as descriptions of local development programmes implemented within the REMCREAD project. In addition, the publication includes a set of recommendations for the design of inclusive educational activities and examples of good practice, adaptable to other institutional and cultural contexts
The project developed six educational programmes aimed at women with migrant experience. During the pilot, more than forty workshops were implemented covering a variety of thematic areas, such as handicrafts, sewing, make-up, photography, social media management, online self-presentation, storytelling, cooking, jewellery making. Among other things, work with the Women's Circles method and based on the Study Circles methodology was used. All activities were characterised by combining creative and digital components, strengthening the social competences of the participants and building their sense of empowerment.
Digital Literacy - In Training Service

A five-module training program designed to strengthen the digital and creative skills of adult educators working with migrant and refugee women. The training helps educators bridge knowledge gaps and equips them to share what they learn — empowering women to stay safe and private online, use social media confidently, and create digital content. The program also includes practical modules on smartphone photography and video — from shooting to editing photos and videos directly on the phone for use on social media platforms. All the modules also include presentations in editable format, which should make it easier for educators to adapt the content to the actual needs of the group.
